New York's First High School AI Course: Teaching the Next Generation

George Goga

Wednesday December 3, 2025 at The Little Theatre, Rochester, NY · 2:10PM-2:55PM

AI is no longer science fiction. It's shaping how we learn, work, and live. But most students graduate without ever being taught what AI actually is or how it affects their world. That's about to change. This January, Geneva High School will launch New York State's first high school course focused entirely on AI Literacy. This talk shares how the course came to life, what it looks like in practice, and why teaching AI to teenagers might be one of the most important education experiments happening right now.
